I firmly believe that everyone has the capacity for growth and healing, and that we each do the absolute best we can every day. I view therapy as a collaborative process where the client is the expert of their own life, and my role is to facilitate insight, support, and guidance. Therapy, for me, is not just about solving problems but also about fostering self-awareness, resilience, and empowerment.
I use an integrative, client-centered approach and aim to be flexible to what resonates best for a client. I am trained in Motivational Interviewing, DBT, and phase I Brainspotting. I focus on providing empathy, unconditional positive regard, and active listening to create a strong therapeutic alliance. I believe in meeting clients where they are and will tailor the approach and pace to best meet the client's needs.
I enjoy working with Latino and BIPOC communities. I am passionate about addressing acculturation stress and first-generation issues, as well as anxiety, depression, relationship dynamics, and personal growth. I have experience working on addiction, trauma, and identity concerns. I work well with clients who are motivated to engage in self-reflection and are open to learning new strategies to go from serving to thriving. I believe in a holistic approach, focusing on the mind, body, and emotions to support long-term healing.
My style is "come as you are" and maintain a client-centered and collaborative approach. I focus on creating a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard and understood. I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each individual, there is no one-size-fits-all and I believe in empowering clients to bring out the best versions of themselves.
