My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe environment where people can comfortably
explore their longstanding, repetitive patterns, work through past trauma, integrate
previously disowned parts of self, and discover their inner strengths. Whether you seek
an experiential, cognitive-behavioral, dynamic, or integrated clinical approach, I will
meet you where you are in your journey, adapting my methods to best support your
process.
My approach to therapy is holistic, integrative, and draws heavily from psychodynamic,
attachment, and developmental theories. In our work together, we will explore how early
life experiences shape your current thoughts, emotions, and relationships. This
exploration helps to deepen our understanding of the ways past experiences may still
influence your present life. I practice from a relational frame, integrating internal family
systems (IFS) and somatic interventions to work collaboratively with my clients in
identifying the root causes of their symptoms. Our work may also include examining
behavioral and interpersonal patterns, helping you become more aware of how these
manifest externally, while also uncovering the unconscious forces that may contribute to
these struggles. Using the therapeutic relationship as a vehicle for change, I am
committed to helping my clients gain insight and self-awareness, empowering them to
make intentional decisions that align with their values and alter their current experience.
I work closely with clients, utilizing a range of tools to better understand their unique
challenges and strengths. One of these tools is psychological assessment, which allows
us to take a deeper, more nuanced look at your cognitive, emotional, and behavioral
patterns. This process goes beyond gathering test results and reducing problems down
to diagnosis; it's an opportunity for us to collaborate, placing the findings in the context
of your everyday experiences and personal goals. Through this, we can gain greater
insight into the root causes of your difficulties and identify pathways for positive change.
Collaborative / Therapeutic assessment can be particularly useful when there are
questions about various behavioral, interpersonal dynamics, or life challenges that are
impeding progress, whether in school, work, relationships, or daily routines.
I work with individuals across the lifespan facing challenges including complex trauma,
anxiety, depression, ADHD and executive dysfunction, obsessive-compulsive
tendencies, life transitions, grief, boundary issues. I enjoy working across all types of
diversity, as well as intersecting sexual and gender identities. Additionally, I specialize in
helping patients understand their cognitive, emotional, and personality patterns through
comprehensive psychological assessments. My approach is tailored to meet the needs
of children, adolescents, and adults - especially those who feel stuck or uncertain about
why pervious interventions haven’t worked, or for those looking to deepen their
understanding of their inner world and develop sustainable strategies for growth.
My therapeutic style is relational, collaborative, compassionate, non-pathologizing, and
insight-oriented. I believe in the transformative potential of the therapeutic relationship
and aim to form strong emphatic connections with my clients where they feel valued,
seen, and heard.
