As a therapist, I aim to collaboratively support you as you heal and grow into your authentic self. I prioritize building an empathic, genuine relationship with clients to create a space in which you feel able to fully engage in the rewarding and sometimes challenging work in therapy. I will support you in developing a strong sense of self, self-esteem, and personal and cultural identities to manage and prevent mental health concerns.
I primarily use humanistic, relational, and liberation-oriented psychotherapy approaches. I tailor therapeutic interventions to your unique needs and integrate your culture, values, and beliefs into our work. Sessions with me typically include reflection and exploration of your values, identities, relationships, cultural context, and the influences of power and oppression. While I have professional knowledge and expertise, I value you as the expert of your own experiences.
I specialize in working with people experiencing depression, identity concerns, life transitions, self-esteem issues, perfectionism, anxiety, oppression, and challenges associated with having ADHD. Although I enjoy working with people of all backgrounds, I am particularly excited about working with LGBTQIA+, Southwest Asian and North African, and second-generation immigrant communities.
