Zoe Ross-Nash, PsyD

What is your philosophy in psychotherapy?

I believe the relationship between the client and therapist is a key element to taking steps towards growth. I aim to create a safe and warm space for clients to feel open in collaboratively exploring their vulnerability and to be empowered in their strengths.

What approaches do you use to help your clients?

I use an integrative approach of relational and attachment theories to help the client increase their ever-evolving sense of self. Additionally, I pull upon DBT and ACT skills to aid clients in feeling more secure in situations, relationships, and environments.

What are your areas of expertise and clients you work well with?

While I specialize in eating disorders and trauma, I treat various situations and disorders, including depression, anxiety, relationship, and personality concerns.

What’s your therapeutic style with your clients?

I seek to understand what happened to my clients in context of their histories and identities, not what is wrong with them. I use an affirmative, trauma-informed style to  encourage acceptance of self, while challenging folks to grow. Choosing a therapist can be difficult and finding a good fit is important. I hope we can make a great team.

What languages do you speak?

 English.
