What is your philosophy in psychotherapy?

I am deeply committed to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and respected. Central to my approach is the belief that a strong therapeutic alliance—rooted in trust, authenticity, and collaboration—is the foundation for meaningful growth and healing.

What approaches do you use to help your clients?

My clinical orientation is primarily grounded in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which I integrate with psychodynamic and process-oriented techniques to explore underlying emotional patterns and foster long-term change. I also place a strong emphasis on culturally-adaptive psychotherapy, recognizing the essential role that culture, identity, and lived experience play in shaping each client’s mental health journey. I strive to ensure that both the psychological and cultural needs of my clients are thoughtfully addressed, honoring the uniqueness of each individual I work with.

What are your areas of expertise and clients you work well with?

I have experience with a variety of clients with ASD, OCD, ADHD, mood pathology, personality pathology, psychosis, anxiety, and depression.

What’s your therapeutic style with your clients?

I am deeply committed to meeting clients where they are in their journey. I believe that healing and growth happen at each person’s unique pace, and I strive to honor that by creating a space that is patient, supportive, and attuned to individual readiness. I never rush the therapeutic process and work collaboratively to ensure clients feel in control of their own progress.

Open and transparent communication is a core value in my work. I believe that honesty, clarity, and mutual respect within the therapeutic relationship create the foundation for trust and meaningful change.

What languages do you speak?

English and Urdu. I understand parts of Kashmiri, Punjabi, and Gujarati.
