Our mission at Vantage Point is to improve the lives of our clients and have our clinicians feel a part of something meaningful. We value our relationships with one another in our group. Our history is also rooted in relational psychodynamic, evidenced-based, and compassionate care as well as providing exemplary and rigorous clinical training to the next generation of psychologists (practicum students, interns, and postdoctoral residents) and masters level trainees accepted into our training program.

Requirements

We are Seeking…

We’re looking for compassionate, collaborative clinicians who are passionate about providing high-quality mental health care to adults and teens. Whether you’re licensed or nearly licensed, part-time or full-time, we’d love to connect.

Licensed or pre-licensed (CA) PhD, PsyD, or masters-level clinicians
Training or experience in eating disorders, anxiety, OCD, DBT, or trauma — or a strong motivation to develop these skills
Inclusive practitioners with experience working across diverse backgrounds, cultures, and identities
Growth-oriented individuals committed to ongoing learning and clinical development
Those interested in in-person sessions at our Midtown Sacramento office (1-3 days/week), with flexibility for virtual work
Candidates open to supervising and mentoring trainees (encouraged but not required)

part time vs. full time duties

Clinical roles at Vantage Point are structured to support both part-time and full-time clinicians, with responsibilities that grow based on clinical hours, experience, and interest in training and leadership. All clinicians contribute to high-quality client care, team collaboration, and the ongoing development of our clinical services.

Part-time Job Duties

Full-time Job Duties

Provide 15-20 face-to-face therapy hours per week (individual, couples, and/or group)
Maintain documentation in compliance with agency policies and ethical standards
Participate in team meetings, consultation groups, and ongoing professional development
Supervise psychology interns and practicum students, if desired
Review trainee notes and provide constructive, meaningful feedback
Assist with training needs and sign off on student documentation
Participate in internship program activities such as interviews and application reviews, if interested

All part-time duties, plus:
Carry a full-time caseload of 25 direct client hours per week
Preferably facilitate at least one therapy group as part of client hours
Provide individual and/or group supervision for doctoral students in our APPIC training program, if desired
Take on additional leadership or training responsibilities as interest and capacity allow
