What is your philosophy in psychotherapy?

My philosophy is rooted in the belief that therapy is a powerful tool for self-discovery, growth, and healing. I see it as a meaningful space where individuals can navigate life’s challenges, gain deeper insight into themselves, and build resilience. I approach each person with empathy, compassion, and a strong commitment to creating a warm, supportive, and inclusive environment. I believe that healing begins with connection, and that a collaborative relationship is essential to the therapeutic process.

What approaches do you use to help your clients?

My approach is integrative and grounded in evidence-based practices. I primarily draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build insight, develop practical tools, and take meaningful steps toward what matters most in their lives. I am also deepening my training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and integrate its principles when helpful. My goal is always to tailor therapy to meet the unique needs of each individual.

What are your areas of expertise and clients you work well with?

I enjoy working with both adults and adolescents across a broad range of concerns. My areas of focus include depression, anxiety, life transitions, stress, burnout, trauma, relationship dynamics, self-esteem, and grief and loss. I have found that I work particularly well with individuals experiencing difficulties in their interpersonal relationships.

What’s your therapeutic style with your clients?

My therapeutic style is warm, empathetic, and collaborative. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, heard, and valued. I focus on building a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust and authenticity, and I bring a culturally sensitive and inclusive perspective to all of my work. I aim to meet clients where they are and work with them to set goals that feel meaningful and achievable.

What languages do you speak?

I speak English fluently. I also speak Punjabi and am currently working on strengthening my proficiency in the language.
