About

Danielle Martin, MA is a clinical psychology predoctoral intern from the APA-accredited California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant University in Sacramento. Danielle grounds her therapeutic style in curiosity, creativity, and the belief that an accepting and attuned therapeutic relationship facilitates deep self-exploration and growth. She prioritizes a collaborative approach that supports clients as they move toward what matters most in their lives.

Clinical Approach and Interests/Specialties

Danielle centers her work with adults addressing obsessive-compulsive and related disorders,
anxiety, perfectionism, life transitions, trauma, identity exploration, self-esteem, body image, and
relationship challenges. As a core component of the therapeutic process, she integrates
understanding of systemic barriers and issues of an increasingly complex world impacting
clients’ perspectives and daily lives. Danielle invites clients to share their whole selves and
experiences without judgment, and emphasizes building trust in the relationship at each
individual’s own pace.

Danielle’s approach to therapy is rooted in psychodynamic and existential frameworks. She
seeks to learn alongside clients how their earliest experiences have influenced their sense of
self, relational patterns, and ways they find meaning in their lives. From this foundation, she
draws consistently from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response
Prevention (ERP),
and Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT) to join clients in
working toward their unique therapeutic goals. Through integration of insight and skills, Danielle
aims to help clients express their inner world and strengthen their self-worth.
