About

Dr. Jessa Mohaddess is a clinical psychologist who provides psychotherapy and psychological assessment services to children, adolescents, and adults. Her work is grounded in the belief that healing often begins through safe, attuned relationships where people can better understand longstanding patterns, reconnect with disowned parts of themselves, and develop more intentional ways of relating.

Dr. Mohaddess’s clinical style is relational, warm, insight-oriented, and non-pathologizing. She works alongside clients to help them understand how early experiences, attachment dynamics, trauma, and emotional adaptations may continue to shape their present relationships, beliefs, coping strategies, and sense of self. She is especially passionate about helping clients who feel stuck, disconnected, or unsure why previous interventions have not fully addressed their struggles.

Clinical Approach and Interests/Specialties

Dr. Mohaddess uses an integrative approach that draws heavily from psychodynamic, attachment-based, developmental, and relational theories. She also incorporates elements of Internal Family Systems-informed work, somatic awareness, cognitive-behavioral strategies, and values-based interventions depending on each client’s needs.

Her approach is collaborative and individualized, with an emphasis on helping clients deepen self-awareness, identify the roots of their symptoms, and make choices that feel more aligned with their values and goals. Her clinical interests include complex trauma, ADHD and executive dysfunction, obsessive-compulsive tendencies, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity development, and boundary difficulties. She enjoys working with clients across diverse backgrounds and identities, including those navigating intersecting sexual, gender, cultural, and family identities.

In addition to psychotherapy, Dr. Mohaddess specializes in comprehensive psychological, psychodiagnostic, and neuropsychological assessment. She views assessment as a deeply collaborative process that goes beyond diagnosis or test scores. Through assessment, she helps clients, families, and providers better understand cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and personality patterns in the context of real-life functioning. This process can be especially useful when individuals are seeking diagnostic clarity, trying to understand barriers in school, work, relationships, or daily
routines, or wanting a more nuanced picture of why certain patterns have persisted over time. She also views assessment as a forward-looking tool for growth, helping individuals identify their strengths, understand areas for development, and clarify what supports, strategies, and skills may help them move toward their fullest potential.
