About

Tricia is a compassionate and relational therapist who believes meaningful healing begins within the safety of a trusted therapeutic relationship. She primarily works with clients through teletherapy, and has found this format to be a highly effective and accessible way to connect with individuals who have time, geographic, or life constraints that make in-person therapy more challenging. She is deeply committed to creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, understood, and supported as they navigate life’s challenges. Her therapeutic philosophy centers on helping individuals build greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and deeper connection to themselves and others so they can move toward a more authentic and fulfilling life.

Clinical Approach and Interests/Specialties

Tricia’s clinical approach is rooted in Relational Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, with a focus on helping clients better understand the unconscious patterns, relational dynamics, and emotional experiences that shape their inner world and relationships. She works collaboratively with clients to explore how past experiences, attachment relationships, and longstanding coping patterns influence present-day emotional struggles, self-perception, and ways of relating to others. While insight and self-understanding are important components of her work, she also integrates practical, evidence-based interventions tailored to each individual’s unique needs and goals.

Her integrative style incorporates elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) when clinically appropriate. She values balancing depth-oriented therapeutic work with practical tools that help clients navigate everyday stressors, relationship challenges, and emotional difficulties more effectively.

Tricia works with adults facing a wide range of concerns. Her clinical specialties include anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, OCD, eating disorders, co-parenting challenges, and major life transitions. She especially enjoys working with individuals who may appear highly capable on the outside while internally struggling with anxiety, self-criticism, perfectionism, relationship challenges, emotional overwhelm, or a persistent sense of feeling stuck. She is passionate about helping clients deepen self-understanding, cultivate more fulfilling relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change aligned with their values and authentic selves.

Clients often experience Tricia as warm, thoughtful, collaborative, and deeply engaged in the therapeutic process. She values creating a therapy relationship that feels emotionally safe while also offering gentle challenge and reflection, allowing space for insight, healing, and meaningful personal growth.

Fun/Unique Facts

Outside of the therapy room, Tricia enjoys spending time in nature, exploring mind-body wellness, and learning about the many ways emotional and physical health intersect. She values meaningful relationships, lifelong learning, quiet moments of reflection, and finding balance through movement, creativity, and time outdoors.

Past Experience and Education

Tricia is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 20 years of clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and families across a variety of treatment settings. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to support clients facing a wide range of emotional, relational, and life challenges, allowing her to develop a thoughtful, well-rounded, and compassionate approach to therapy.

Her early clinical training included work in both a university counseling center and a grief and loss agency, where she supported individuals and families navigating bereavement, trauma, and significant life transitions. She later expanded her experience in community counseling settings providing individual and couples therapy, conducting crisis assessments, and facilitating co-parenting classes for families navigating separation and divorce.

Tricia developed specialized experience in the treatment of eating disorders at the intensive outpatient level of care. In this role, she conducted individual and group therapy while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary medical and therapeutic teams, supporting clients with complex emotional, behavioral, and relational needs and helping them build healthier relationships with themselves and others.

Tricia values ongoing learning, personal growth, and the evolving nature of the therapeutic process. She feels honored to walk alongside clients as they deepen self-understanding, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
